There are locations in Britain which defy rational explanation, places which qualify as supernatural (beyond natural). They are a fantasy writer's delight - because their explanations appear to be so grounded, so viable. When your goal is to convince your readers there may be some truth to your story, fantastical as it may be, using locations drenched in British folklore and with credible explanations, half the work is done for you!
